Nyanza Bottling Celebrates 20 Years in Style

On 20th March 2009, Nyanza Bottling Co. Ltd (NBCL) celebrated its 20th anniversary as northern Tanzania’s premier beverage-bottling facility. The grand celebration party was graced by the former Regional Commissioner for Mwanza, Dr. Msekela.

In his opening speech, Resident Managing Director Christopher M. Gachuma noted the immeasurable contribution of the employees of the company towards continuous development and dedicated the celebrations of the evening in appreciation of their efforts.
Amidst lively entertainment and Kadogoli and Sarakasi traditional dance, Mr. Gachuma presented employees that have served NBCL for 20 years with 50 sheets of corrugated iron sheeting and radio cassette players. The guest of honour, Dr. Msekela also promised to aid those employees who wish assistance on plot issues.

Recognition and appreciation did not end here. Employees with 15 to 20 years service at NBCL and were each presented with 35 corrugated iron sheets and radio cassette players. Also awarded with 25 corrugated iron sheets and radio cassette players were employees with a dedicated service record of 10- 15 years at NBCL.

As is synonymous with Coca Cola’s logo colour, all employees wore red T-shirts and caps to mark the event. All employees were given ‘20 years of NBCL’ wrist watches to mark the celebrations. The staff of NBCL thanked the management for bestowing this great honour on them and requested that their relationship continue with the same spirit in the future.
