DSL participated in Maji Week - Techno-Fest at Bukoba from March 16-22, 2009

Maji week is a National level Techno-Fest organized by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MOWI) of Government of Tanzania held at Bukoba (Kagera Region) for creating awareness on the latest Piping materials in the Market and to demonstrate the Selection of the right material for the requirement of common people, Consultants, Contractors, local water bodies etc.

The opening ceremony was presided by the Honorable Minister for Water and Irrigation Prof. M.J. Mwandosa along with Members of his Ministry. There were 50 participants from different part of the country who are actively in water and agriculture sector.

We DPI Simba Limited, participated in the program in the view to make the awareness in the Lake Region and adjoining towns. DPI Simba Ltd was represented by Mr. Manoj Kumar, a stall was arranged and our products were displayed for the viewers On 21st –Eng Christoper K. Chiza, Dy Minister for water and Irrigation along with Permanent Secretary visited the program and appreciated the way the program was conducted. The whole program was visited by all the Water bodies around lake region, The NGO’s and consultants
and Mining Industries. The program reached well to all the local people and helped creating awareness of the new technology Piping materials in water sector.

The Judges for the program were from various departments, Ministry of law, Ministry of Revenue Ministry of transport and Ministry of water. They visited all the participants and scrutinized their efficiency of presentation. DSL Limited, was selected as the Third Winner for the best supplier and has been awarded with “Maji Week Trophy for the year and a Certificate of Participation”

The Award was presented by the Honorable Vice President Dr. Mohamed Shein in the presence of representatives of other Ministries, Consultants and Contractors.
